Punjab National Bank Robbery Mastermind arrested in Muzaffarpur

The Muzaffarpur police have arrested four criminals, including Aman Ojha, who is believed to be the mastermind behind an attempted robbery at Punjab National Bank in Madhukarchhapra village, located in the Kanti police station area. However, one criminal managed to escape from the police. The police are currently engaged in further action to apprehend the escaped criminal.

Police Operation and Arrests

According to Western DSP Abhishek Anand, the Kanti police station received secret information about Aman Ojha’s plan to commit a crime with some accomplices in his litchi tree in Madhuchhapra village. The Senior Superintendent of Police was informed about this information. Acting on the tip-off, the police team from Kanti police station reached the location with force. Upon seeing the police, five criminals attempted to flee, but the police managed to arrest four of them. One criminal, however, escaped from the scene.

Recovered Items and Criminal History

During the interrogation of the arrested criminals, it was revealed that two of them have a history of criminal activities. The police recovered 1.123 kg of hashish, 1 modern pistol, 4 cartridges, and 1 sharp knife from the arrested individuals. Among the arrested criminals, Aman Ojha is the most-wanted criminal who had previously attempted to rob Punjab National Bank in the Kanti police station area. He had planned the robbery and fled with weapons. The other three individuals arrested along with him are Chintu Mishra, Dheeraj Mishra, and Ankit Kumar. The escaped criminal has been identified as Aman Kumar, who has a history of armed robberies and bank robberies.
