The Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has declared a public holiday on October 11 in observance of ‘Navami,’ the final day of the Navratri festival. This announcement was made by a senior official in Lucknow. ‘Navami’ marks the end of the Navratri fast, during which devotees perform rituals like “kanya bhoj,” puja, and havan.

With this declaration, people in Uttar Pradesh will enjoy an extended three-day holiday this weekend. In addition to the regular Saturday and Sunday holidays, Friday, October 11, has also been designated as a public holiday.

Director of Information, Shishir, stated, “In response to the demands of various organizations and considering the festival of ‘Navami’ tomorrow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has instructed to declare October 11 a public holiday, excluding essential services.”

All the government offices and banks will remain closed on the occasion of Navami. This will help the employees enjoy the festival with their family and relatives.
