A collision between a truck and a trailer on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway led to a chaotic situation, with angry locals assaulting an RTO inspector. The incident occurred when the Transport Department’s flying squad was conducting vehicle checks on the highway. During the inspection, a trailer rammed into a truck from behind, causing the driver and conductor to get trapped in the cabin. They were later rescued by breaking open the cabin, but the accident sparked public outrage.

The enraged crowd blamed the RTO team for the accident and began assaulting RTO Inspector Vijendra Jangid, who was present at the scene. Despite the attack, Inspector Jangid showed composure and helped transport the injured to the hospital, where the driver and conductor are currently undergoing treatment. A video of the assault on the inspector has also surfaced, capturing the tense moments.

Vishwakarma Police Station Officer Rajendra Kumar provided details of the incident. He stated that the RTO flying squad was conducting vehicle checks near Akeda village on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway when the trailer collided with the truck. The impact left the trailer’s driver and cleaner trapped in the cabin. Inspector Jangid immediately initiated a rescue operation, and the injured were rushed to the hospital.

The accident caused a significant traffic jam on the highway, further escalating tensions. Locals alleged that the accident occurred because the flying squad abruptly stopped vehicles for inspection, leading to the trailer driver losing control. They claimed that the RTO team waved down the trailer suddenly, causing the collision.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after being informed, but the individuals who assaulted the RTO inspector had already fled. Authorities worked to clear the traffic and restore normalcy on the highway. Inspector Jangid has since filed a formal complaint at the Vishwakarma Police Station.

The incident highlights the challenges faced by enforcement teams during routine checks and the need for better coordination to prevent such accidents and public unrest.
