PNB Reports 10.32% Growth in Global Business in Q1 FY27

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced its provisional business performance for the quarter ended 30 June 2026.

Global Business Crosses ₹29.99 Lakh Crore

PNB’s global business increased to ₹29,99,876 crore as on 30 June 2026, compared to ₹27,19,276 crore in the same period last year. This represents a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 10.32%. Compared to the previous quarter ended 31 March 2026, global business increased by 1.02%.

Strong Growth in Domestic Business

The bank’s domestic business stood at ₹28,75,943 crore at the end of June 2026. This is an increase of 9.91% from ₹26,16,535 crore a year ago. On a quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) basis, domestic business grew by 1.19%.

Deposits Continue to Grow

PNB reported steady growth in deposits during the quarter. Global deposits increased to ₹17,24,840 crore, registering a YoY growth of 8.52% and a QoQ growth of 0.80%. Domestic deposits rose to ₹16,70,180 crore, up 8.63% from the previous year and 1.28% from the previous quarter.

Advances Show Double-Digit Annual Growth

The bank also reported healthy growth in its loan portfolio. Global advances increased to ₹12,75,036 crore, recording a 12.85% YoY growth and 1.31% QoQ growth. Domestic advances stood at ₹12,05,763 crore, up 11.74% compared to the same quarter last year and 1.07% higher than the previous quarter.

Credit-Deposit Ratio Improves

PNB’s Global Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio improved to 73.92% as of 30 June 2026, compared to 73.55% at the end of March 2026 and 71.09% a year earlier.

The Credit-Deposit (CD) Ratio shows how much of the bank’s deposits have been used for lending. A higher ratio generally indicates that the bank is making better use of its deposits by providing more loans while maintaining adequate liquidity.
