PNB Bank distributes Diwali Gifts to Staff

Punjab National Bank (PNB) has announced its annual Deepawali gesture for its employees, confirming the distribution of festive gift vouchers worth ₹2,000 to every active staff member.
The bank has decided to distribute sweets, dry fruits, chocolates, or similar confectionaries to all active employees. Bank has clearly stated that only gifts should be provided to employees and cash should not be given.”
Guidelines issued for Distribution of Sweets
- Value: Each active employee is entitled to confectionaries/gifts worth ₹2,000/-.
- Strict Adherence: The circular strictly warned that no cash payment should be made to any employee under this scheme.
Earlier, the Ministry of Finance had issued instructions to stop unnecessary spending by government offices. The Department of Expenditure has announced that no money will be spent on gifts or related items for Diwali and other festivals.
