In February 2025, a total of 50,088 public grievances were successfully resolved by states and Union Territories (UTs) through the Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS), according to the latest monthly report from the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG). Despite these resolutions, the portal still has 1,90,994 pending grievances that are yet to be addressed.
Growing User Registrations and State-Wise Data
During the same period, 47,599 new users registered on the CPGRAMS portal, with Uttar Pradesh recording the highest number of registrations at 7,312.
The report also provides insights into grievances submitted through Common Service Centres (CSCs). CPGRAMS has been integrated with over 5 lakh CSCs, managed by 2.5 lakh Village Level Entrepreneurs, making grievance redressal accessible to rural citizens. In February, 5,580 grievances were lodged via CSCs, with Uttar Pradesh leading at 1,697 complaints, followed by Punjab with 838 grievances.
States with Highest Grievance Redressal
Among the states and UTs, Uttar Pradesh received the highest number of grievances in February 2025, totaling 21,763 complaints. Twelve states and UTs received more than 1,000 grievances each during the month.
In terms of grievance resolution, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat recorded the highest number of cases closed, with 21,511 and 2,916 grievances resolved, respectively. Thirteen states and UTs resolved more than 1,000 grievances in February.
Training Under the Sevottam Scheme
The report also highlights the Sevottam Scheme, under which funds were released for public service improvements. Over the last three financial years (2022-23, 2023-24, and 2024-25), a total of 756 training programs were conducted, training around 24,942 government officers to improve efficiency in grievance redressal.
Successful Resolution of Individual Cases
One of the significant grievances resolved in February was that of Sudhanshu Sharma, a street vendor, whose PM-SVANidhi loan application had been delayed due to incorrect bank details. After intervention through CPGRAMS, his Rs 10,000 loan was approved and disbursed.
The CPGRAMS portal continues to play a crucial role in addressing public complaints efficiently and ensuring faster redressal of grievances across the country.
