Over 150 Sexual Harassment Complaints Filed by Female Employees of PSU Banks
Sexual harassment is a serious issue and must be dealt with seriously. Public Sector Banks are government-owned organisations and have a responsibility to provide a safe and secure working environment for women employees. The number of women employees in banks is increasing, and they now account for more than 30% of the workforce in many banks. Therefore, banks need to have stricter policies and stronger mechanisms to prevent and address sexual harassment at the workplace.
In this article, we will have a look at the number of sexual harassment complaints filed by female employees of public sector banks. Over 150 sexual harassment complaints were filed by female employees of public sector banks in financial year 2025-26. These are the complaints filed officially by employees. Most of the complaints are not reported by the female employees and they bear the pain silently.
