
Noida Police has made a significant breakthrough in the murder case of bank manager Manjeet Mishra. The police have arrested Vinay Bhati, a sharp shooter who had been on the run since the crime. A 29-year-old bank employee – Manjeet Mishra was shot and killed in broad daylight in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. His family has accused his wife and in-laws of being responsible for the murder. He was working as IT officer in Aryavart Bank.

Mishra’s family believes his wife, Megha Rathore, and her relatives planned the murder. They claim there were tensions in the family due to his inter-caste marriage. Manjeet, a Brahmin, had married Megha, a Thakur, a year ago despite opposition from both families. Murder Planned for ₹15 Lakh Contract
The murder took place on February 21, near D Park Cut in Noida. Two assailants on a bike shot and killed Manjeet Mishra. During the investigation, police discovered that Mishra’s brother-in-law had hired contract killers for ₹15 lakh to carry out the murder.

Arrest and Seizures
The police arrested Vinay Bhati near Khodna Khurd on the 130-meter road. Several key pieces of evidence have been recovered from him, including:
- The HF Deluxe motorcycle used in the crime (without a registration number)
- Two mobile phones
- ₹10,000 in cash
- Metro card, gaming card, and identity card of the deceased
Before Bhati’s arrest, another accused, Bunty, was caught following a police encounter. Mishra’s brother-in-law, the alleged mastermind behind the crime, had already been arrested and sent to jail along with another accused.
The Noida police had registered an FIR immediately after the murder and formed multiple teams to track down the suspects. With the help of technical surveillance and local intelligence, the police successfully arrested the absconding shooter, marking a major success in the case.
