‘My Husband is being Repeatedly Harassed’, UP Gramin Bank Employee’s Wife Alleges Harassment by Senior Officials

Maharajganj, Uttar Pradesh: In a serious allegation, a woman named Shweta Tripathi, wife of Pawan Kumar Tripathi, an employee of Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank (UPGB), has submitted a written complaint to the Chairman and General Manager of the bank. She has accused senior bank officials of mentally harassing her husband, using abusive language, and pressuring him to pay bribes.

According to the letter written by Shweta Tripathi, her husband was called to the regional office where he was insulted and called a “dalal” (middleman). She said that her husband was told that his job would be taken away and that he would be transferred to a faraway branch. She alleged that one of the officials even threatened him by saying, “I will harass you so much that your blood pressure and sugar will rise and you will die.”

The letter further states that her husband is suffering from high blood pressure and stress due to continuous harassment. Shweta claimed that the main reason behind this torture is that her husband refused to pay money repeatedly demanded by certain officials. Because of this, she said, he is being targeted and pressured.

She mentioned that her husband has been mentally harassed for the past 10 days, but the situation got worse when he was insulted in front of other officials and was forcibly transferred. The family now fears for his mental and physical well-being.

In her complaint, Shweta held the Regional Manager and another official named Brahma Yadav responsible for the situation. She has requested a fair investigation into the matter and action against the concerned officials.

“My husband is the only earning member of our family. We are under immense mental pressure. I request you to help us and take strict action against those harassing him,” she appealed in the letter.

The bank authorities have not yet issued any official statement on the matter. Further developments are awaited.

महोदय

मेरे पति को आज क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय बुलाकर गाली दी व उन्हें दलाल कहा व कहा गया की जाँच करके नौकरी खा जाऊंगा और तुरंत सुदूर शाखा पे ट्रांसफर कर दिया व कहा की इतना प्रताड़ित करूंगा की BP शुगर हो जायेगा मर जाओगे। महोदय मेरे पति का ब्लड प्रेशर एकदम से ऊपर नीचे हो रहा है। सब बस इस कारण है कि मेरे पति से उनके द्वारा बार-बार पैसा माँगा जा रहा था। मेरे पति ने नही दिया पैसा ना देने पर मेरे पति के लिए कॉल हो गया है। अगर इनको कुछ भी होता है तो इसके जिम्मेदार क्षेत्रीय प्रबंधक व उनके साथ ब्रह्मा यादव जी होंगे। महोदय आप जाँच कराये। महोदय ये पिछले 10 दिन से मेरे पति को प्रताड़ित कर रहे थे। लेकिन आज गाली गलौज व दलाल तक कह दिए। और जब इसका विरोध किया गया तो क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय से दबाव डलवाया रहे हैं वो निरंतर।

महोदय ये मेरे परिवार का एकमात्र सहारा है कृपया करके मेरी मदद करें व इनके खिलाफ भी कार्यवाही करें।
