MSME Seva Parv 2025: Virasat se Vikas from 28 to 30 Sep at Varanasi UP

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will celebrate MSME Seva Parv-2025: Virasat se Vikas from 28th to 30th September 2025.

The event will be held at the Rudraksh International Cooperation & Convention Centre in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.

The aim of the event is to bring together communities, institutions, and individuals for seva (service), cultural pride, and awareness of heritage.

On 28th September, the event will be presided over by Shri Jitan Ram Manjhi, Union Minister of MSME. Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Minister of State for MSME, will attend as the Guest of Honour. Shri Manoj Kumar, Chairman of Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Shri Nand Gopal Gupta, Cabinet Minister of Industrial Development, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Shri Ashok Kumar Tewari, Mayor of Varanasi, will also join the event. Senior officials from the Ministry of MSME will be present too.

More than 1,500 beneficiaries of MSME schemes are expected to participate. These include beneficiaries from PM Vishwakarma, Khadi and Gramodyog Yojana, Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), and National SC/ST Hub Scheme.

An exhibition and sale of products made by local artisans and craftspeople will be organized from 28th to 30th September.

On 28th September at 7.00 AM, a Swachhata programme will be held at Namo Ghat to promote community service and cleanliness.

The event will also see the signing of an MoU between KVIC and NSIC on marketing. Certificates will be given to PM Vishwakarma beneficiaries, margin money subsidies will be given to PMEGP beneficiaries, and toolkits will be distributed to GVY beneficiaries.

As part of the event, a Mahila Paricharcha Session was also organized. Women entrepreneurs and self-help groups interacted with the Minister of State for MSME, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, and shared their experiences.

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, launched the PM Vishwakarma Scheme on 17th September 2023. The scheme provides full support to traditional artisans and craftspeople in 18 trades, helping them become successful entrepreneurs.

The scheme offers benefits such as recognition, skill training, toolkit incentives, credit support, digital transaction incentives, and marketing support.

In just two years, PM Vishwakarma has registered 30 lakh beneficiaries after three levels of verification, achieving a 100% target. More than 23 lakh Vishwakarmas have received basic skill training through NSDC. Five lakh Vishwakarmas have received loans of up to ₹1 lakh at a subsidized 5% interest rate, totaling ₹4,331 crore. India Post has also delivered 8.33 lakh toolkits directly to their homes.

For inclusive growth, the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme was launched in October 2016. Its aim is to support SC/ST entrepreneurs and help them take part in public procurement, with a 4% target reserved for SC/ST-owned MSEs.

More than 1.5 lakh SC/ST entrepreneurs have benefited. Public procurement from SC/ST-owned MSEs has increased 36 times.

The Khadi sector has shown strong growth in the last three years. Production has increased by 47% and sales by 41.45%.

The Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) provides financial help to set up self-employment ventures. This has created jobs in both rural and urban areas.

Under PMEGP, a subsidy of ₹28,533.21 crore has been given to 10.61 lakh units, creating 86.50 lakh jobs.
