British sports car maker Lotus has entered the Indian market with the launch of its first all-electric SUV, the Eletre. The Eletre is available in three variants, with prices starting at Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom).

The Eletre is based on Lotus’ Electric Premium Architecture and features a sleek and futuristic design inspired by the Evija electric hypercar. It has a distinct front end with boomerang-shaped headlights, a continuous LED light bar at the rear, and a retractable rear wing. The SUV rides on 22-inch wheels as standard, but Lotus offers 20-inch and 23-inch wheel options as well.

The Eletre’s cockpit is equally sporty and luxurious, with a sleek steering wheel, a large 15.1-inch touchscreen, a 23-speaker KED sound system, a panoramic sunroof, and a suite of ADAS features that includes four lidar sensors and seven HD cameras.

All three variants of the Eletre feature a 112 kWh battery pack. The base and S variants offer a range of 600 km on a single charge, while the R variant has a range of 490 km.
