A sexual harassment case at a top bank of the world – JPMorgan, has created a stir on the internet. A man filed a case against a top executive of JPMorgan – Lorna Hajdini, for sexually harassing him.
Who is Lorna Hajdini?
Lorna Hajdini is 37-year-old and working as Executive Director for the Leveraged Finance division.
Hajdini has been serving at JPMorgan for the past 15 years. Before this, she interned at the office of the medical director, then at Glazer Capital Management and Tudor Investment Corporation.As per her LinkedIn profile, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Statistics from NYU Stern School of Business. She also attended the Private Equity and Venture Capital program at Harvard Business School Executive Education.
What is the case all about?
The sexual harassment lawsuit was filed by a former employee, Chirayu Rana, who alleged that Hajdini drugged him with Rohypnol and Viagra and did sex with him.
He alleged that she also threatened to reduce his bonus if he did not comply, effectively turning him into a “sex slave.” He said that she visited his home and forced him into sexual acts.
He alleged that she even insulted his wife. While removing her shirt, Hadjini insulted Doe’s wife and remarked, “I bet your little Asian, fish head, wife doesn’t have these cannons,” Daily Mail reported quoting the lawsuit.
“I f***ing own you! I will make you pay…Do you think you’re going to be in good standing if you do not have me in your corner,” Hajdini allegedly said while forcing him to establish sexual relations.
She added: “You really think [management]… want some Brown boy Indian leading Originations?…If you don’t f*** my brains out tonight, I’m going to sabotage your promotion,” the Daily Mail reported.
“Do you want to get promoted at year end or not? Do you want a future at JPMorgan? It’s that simple. I don’t know why you’re fighting this,” she said.
Meanwhile, Lorna Hajdini Case and JPMorgan have denied all claims.
