All India Bank of Baroda Officers’ Association conducted a meeting with the Hon’ble MD & CEO Sh. Deba Dutta Chand, respected ED Sh. Lal Singh, and some CGMs. The aim of the meeting was to improve the work environment in Bank of Baroda following the suicide of Chief Manager (Shiv Shankar Mitra) in Baramati, Pune.
A separate meeting was also held with a committee of CGMs to focus on improving work-life balance, officer well-being, and making the environment more productive and respectful.
Decisions Taken in the Meeting
To reduce work stress and provide comfort to officers, the following decisions were taken in the meeting:
- Branch Team Meetings: Will now be held only between 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, ideally 2-3 times a week. Corporate verticals will no longer directly hold meetings with branches.
- Telephonic Instructions: Only one person from RO will call branches, limited to 3 calls per day.
- Campaign Regulation: A corporate-level committee will regulate all campaigns. No more than 5-6 campaigns will run at any time. RO/ZO campaigns will also be regulated.
- Zero Tolerance for Misbehaviour: Any misbehaviour or abusive language by controlling heads will not be tolerated. Strict action will be taken against such executives.
- Compliance Over Pressure: Only compliance-based business will be encouraged. No pressure will be tolerated that asks officers to violate compliance for targets.
- Staff Shortage: The bank has indented 5000 new recruits, including 2500 officers. A sample survey will be conducted with our representatives to assess staffing needs across rural, semi-urban, urban, and metro branches.
All the above decisions will be implemented by 15th August 2025 (Independence Day).

Jindagi pyar ka geet ha
Isko her dil ko gana padega
Aise aate line pr. Bina mtlb ki hi toba mcha rkhi controlling office ne.
Call by RO person two three time daily in each branch must be in rotation to every officers, clerical, and sub staff to confirm their satisfaction and any harrasment during bank time by any one
Source?
Not possible in bob bank a too much aggressive bank
Lots of pressure for officers for targets late sitting, Ro calls dead line for completion of work or visit RO
That kind of initiation must be implemented in other nationalised bank. We should not wait for another such kind of incidence to be happened and then we raise voice for justice.
Sometimes we are forgetting that our prime entity is, we are human being and forgetting to behave like as what we suppose to. So far as my concern,we can change ourselves through self realisation only instead of through some circulars or notifications. As early we could adopt the same, we could able to form / built an effective organization.
Where is the circular related to 3 calls per day and meeting timings? Have Bank Of Baroda issued any circular about that. Days after this suicide, its ordering officers to open bank on Sundays and cling 10 -20 times a day to harrass them
