The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has directed all its regional offices, Zonal Institutes of Education and Training (ZIETs), and Kendriya Vidyalayas to mandatorily use India Post Speed Post for dispatching official documents. The instructions have been issued following directions from the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, as communicated in its Office Memorandum dated September 28, 2026.
In a letter dated October 12, 2026, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan headquarters in New Delhi asked all Deputy Commissioners and Directors to ensure strict compliance with the instructions.
According to the communication, the Ministry of Education has conveyed the directions of the Union Minister of Education that the Department of School Education and Literacy, its autonomous bodies and all schools must use India Post Speed Post for sending official documents. The directive aims to ensure that official correspondence is dispatched through the designated postal service.
The KVS headquarters has instructed regional offices, ZIETs and Kendriya Vidyalayas under their respective jurisdictions to follow these directions without exception under normal circumstances. India Post Speed Post must be used for dispatching official documents, while private courier services should not be used.
This should be done in Banks also
Bank employees believe that government departments should keep their funds with public sector banks. They are requesting the Ministry of Finance to issue directions to all government departments to deposit their funds only in public sector banks. This would help increase bank deposits and strengthen public sector banks.
Recently, several incidents have reportedly come to light in which heads of government departments allegedly transferred funds to private banks in exchange for bribes. Bank employees believe that such practices should be stopped and that government funds should be kept in public sector banks to protect public interest and strengthen the banking sector.
