The Biaora police have arrested three people involved in a fraud case related to Kisan Credit Card (KCC). A loan of ₹9.87 lakh was taken from ICICI Bank by forging a farmer’s documents. The police have also recovered ₹5.80 lakh from the accused. This information was shared by Rajgarh Superintendent of Police (SP) Amit Tolani on Monday.
On July 17, a farmer named Vijay Singh Gurjar, who lives in Pakhariyapura village in Chachauda (Guna district), filed a complaint at Biaora police station. He informed the police that someone had misused his Aadhaar card and land records to take a fake KCC loan of ₹9.87 lakh from the ICICI Bank branch in Biaora. Now, the bank was asking him to repay the loan, even though he never applied for it.
Based on the complaint, Inspector Virendra Singh Dhakad, in charge of the police station, began an investigation. During the probe, it was found that the accused had created fake documents in the name of the farmer. People involved in the KCC loan are: Krishna Gopal Gurjar, Yogesh Sahu (former ICICI Bank manager), Sachin Kubhankar, Shriram Gurjar, Jai Singh.
The police have so far arrested three of them — Krishna Gopal, Yogesh Sahu, and Sachin Kubhankar. ₹5 lakh was recovered from Krishna Gopal Gurjar and ₹40,000 each from Yogesh Sahu and Sachin Kubhankar.
The remaining two accused, Shriram Gurjar and Jai Singh, are currently absconding, and the police are actively searching for them.
SP Amit Tolani also stated that the police have taken steps to help the victim farmer. They have written to the bank to remove the mortgage on his land, which was wrongly used as collateral for the fake loan. The land is expected to be freed from the loan within two to three days.
In addition, the police are investigating whether the accused bought other assets with the loan money. If found, those properties will also be seized under attachment proceedings.
