A dispute arose between a shopkeeper and a group of youths at a grocery store near the Jalandhar bus stand over payment. The accused youths hurled abuses at the shopkeeper, grabbed packets of chips, and fled after threatening to kill him.
Acting swiftly on the victim’s complaint, the police pursued the accused and apprehended three of them—who were hiding inside an HDFC Bank.
While fleeing, the accused entered the HDFC Bank located near the bus stand and hid in the bank’s restroom.
Acting swiftly, the police lowered the bank’s shutter and conducted a search operation inside. They apprehended three youths red-handed in the bank’s restroom. Subsequently, police officers subdued the accused on the spot, put them into a vehicle, and took them directly to the police station.
