I am a Deputy Commissioner in Income Tax. In February 2025, a cricket match was organized at BBD Cricket Ground, in which Yogendra Mishra, Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department, told everyone- make me play and also make me the captain.

Due to his insistence, the matter reached PCC Sir. PCC Sir decided that those who had played the quarter finals would play the semi-finals and the finals as well. Before the final match began, Yogendra lay down on the cricket pitch.

He said that if he was not made to play, he would not let the match happen. On this act, PCC Sir warned him that if he did not leave the pitch, departmental action would be taken against him. The match was being organised officially. Yogendra obstructed government work.

After this, Yogendra abused some players of the cricket team on WhatsApp, due to which many complaints were made against him. He told one player- I know where your sister is having an affair. He told another player- Be careful, NCB people are roaming around these days. I will get you implicated in a false case by keeping drugs in the car.

A total of 12 complaints were made against Yogendra. After this, PCC sir instructed me to take action on the complaints. After this act of Yogendra Mishra, he was transferred from Lucknow to Uttarakhand, where he is currently posted.

A letter was issued to Yogendra from my office regarding the first complaint against him. After this, he threatened Income Tax Commissioner (Administration and Taxpayer Services) Richa Rastogi on WhatsApp. He asked her to withdraw the investigation.

I was sitting on the sixth floor of the office between 3:00 and 3:30 pm on Thursday. Senior officers Richa Rastogi and Shaurya Shashwat Shukla were also present with me. I was preparing the outline of the retirement farewell program of PCC Sir, when suddenly Yogendra came there without permission.

He started abusing in a very loud voice. He said- you people got me transferred forcefully. Then moving towards me he said, “Are you acting like a big leader? Now get me transferred back to Lucknow. If you take any further action against me then it will not be good.

He threatened to kill me and asked me to drop all the complaints. He said that he had suffered a lot because of these complaints. Saying this, he picked up a glass kept on the table and threw water at me. Then he hit me hard with the same glass, from which I barely escaped.

After this, he used the same glass (which is government property) as a lethal weapon and attacked my neck. I took my laptop and started going out of the room, when Yogendra came from behind and strangled me. I was about to stop breathing. I tried to push him away in agony.

By then he had punched me several times, some of which hit my nose, lips and ears. This caused bleeding from my nose and lips. My front teeth started shaking and I lost hearing in my right ear. After this Yogendra hit my private parts with his heavy shoes.

During this time Shaurya Shashwat Shukla tried to save me. Yogendra damaged government property, obstructed government work and made a murderous attack on me. I immediately informed on Dial 112. After this the police took me to the civil hospital. Even before I got into the car, my health started deteriorating due to the extreme injuries.

I fainted by the time I reached the hospital. My health is still not completely fine. However, I have got some relief due to the treatment of doctors. After this I am submitting this application, please take action on it as per the law.
