IREDA Announces Changes in Senior Management, Check Profile and Qualifications of New Officers

The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has announced significant changes in its senior management as part of a strategic organizational restructuring. The changes were disclosed in compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and detailed in Annexure I of the company’s official filing. The following individuals have been appointed to key leadership positions effective April 28, 2025.
Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited is an Indian public sector enterprise which provides financial assistance and other services to projects related to renewable sources of energy and energy efficiency/conservation.
New Appointments in IREDA
Shri Sushant Kumar Dey – Executive Director (Projects)
Mr. Dey holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Govt. Engineering College, Rewa (M.P.), and a postgraduate degree in Engineering from MANIT Bhopal. He also possesses a postgraduate diploma in Financial Management from IGNOU, New Delhi. With over 34 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, he previously served as GM (Projects) at IREDA.
Shri Surendra Kumar Sharma – Executive Director (Finance & Accounts)
A B.Com graduate and associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Mr. Sharma has also completed certifications in indirect taxation, forex, and treasury management. He brings over 29 years of experience in finance and accounts, and was previously GM (Finance & Accounts) at IREDA.
Shri Dhiraj Mehta – Executive Director (Finance & Accounts)
Mr. Mehta holds a B.Com degree and is both an associate member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. With more than 28 years of experience in finance and accounts, he has served as GM (Finance & Accounts) in the company.
Ms. Durre Shawhar – General Manager (Human Resources)
Ms. Shawhar holds a BSc in Chemistry (Hons) from Ranchi Women’s College and a postgraduate degree in Personnel Management from Xavier Institute of Social Service (XISS), Ranchi. With over 27 years of professional experience, she was previously Addl. GM (Human Resources) at IREDA.
