Govt earned Rs.1100 crore from selling scrap items

India’s successful Chandrayaan-3 moon mission, costing approximately Rs 600 crore, could have been funded twice over by the revenue generated from selling scrap such as files, condemned office equipment, and obsolete vehicles. The latest government report reveals that nearly Rs 1,163 crore have been earned through scrap sales since October 2021, with an impressive Rs 557 crore generated during a one-month campaign in October of this year.
