Google Pay launches Flex Credit Card in partnership with Axis Bank

Google Pay has launched Flex, a digital co-branded credit card that works on UPI. It is designed to make using a credit card as easy and simple as making everyday UPI payments. Flex aims to improve the credit card experience for people in India, while offering the same trusted and secure platform of the Google Pay app.

This credit card is built on the RuPay network, and Google Pay has launched this first in partnership with Axis Bank. Flex offers an easy and modern credit card experience. Users can pay anywhere, get instant rewards, and choose flexible ways to repay. The main features are:

Easy Digital Application:
You can apply for Flex directly inside the Google Pay app in just a few minutes. There is no paperwork, and the card is fully digital. It stays on your phone, so you can use it anytime.

Use the Card Anywhere:
Since Flex runs on the RuPay network, you can scan and pay at millions of shops and also use it for payments on your favorite apps—whether the amount is small or large. You can do online payments easily via this credit card. Just scan the QR code and pay via credit card.

Instant Rewards:
You earn “stars” on every Flex transaction. These stars can be used immediately, and 1 Star = ₹1. There is no waiting till the end of the month to redeem rewards. On making payments via flex credit card, you will get stars on each transaction. Later on, you can use these stars for payments also. For example, if you earn 50 stars, this means you have earned Rs.50, and use can use these 50 stars for payment.

Flexible Repayment Options:
You can see all your spending and manage your bills directly in the Google Pay app. You can choose to pay your bill in full or convert it into EMIs. For example, if your total bill of credit card is of Rs.32,000 then you can choose to pay the full amount or convert it in EMI.

Full Control Inside the App:
You can manage your card’s security settings in the Google Pay app. This includes setting spending limits, blocking or unblocking the card, and resetting your PIN instantly.

Flex is available only on Google Pay. Users can apply for the card for free from anywhere and start using it within minutes. The rollout begins today, and it will reach all users over the next few months. Those interested can join the waitlist inside the Google Pay app.
