A disturbing case of molestation has emerged from a bank in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh. A girl, who had gone to Indian Bank in the village of Raigai, located in the Kotwali Pihani area, to withdraw money, was targeted by a youth named Deepu Tiwari from the same village. Watch video below 👇
The incident occurred while the girl was waiting on a chair for her turn. Deepu Tiwari allegedly approached her and tried to give her a slip with his mobile number written on it, with inappropriate intentions. When the girl refused to accept the slip, the accused began to abuse her. As the girl protested, Tiwari became more aggressive and attempted to assault her.
In a brave act of self-defense, the victim retaliated by slapping the accused and hitting him with her slippers. The entire incident was captured on the bank’s CCTV cameras.
The victim has since filed a complaint with the local police, detailing the harassment. She also claims that Deepu Tiwari has been threatening her over the phone since the incident. The police are currently investigating the matter.
This incident raises serious concerns about women’s safety and the prevalence of molestation in public spaces. The case has gained further attention due to the fact that the victim comes from a Dalit family, adding a local dispute element to the issue. The police have assured that they are thoroughly investigating the matter.
