FSIB Recommends Rakesh Kashyap for post of DMD in NABARD

The Financial Services Institutions Bureau (FSIB) has recommended Shri Rakesh Kashyap for the post of Deputy Managing Director (DMD) in National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development.

According to an official notice issued on 24 March 2026, FSIB conducted interviews with 17 eligible candidates on March 18 and March 24, 2026. These interviews were held to select a suitable candidate for the DMD position in NABARD.

After evaluating the candidates based on their performance in the interview, overall experience, and other required parameters, the bureau selected Rakesh Kashyap for the role.

The final appointment will be made as per the government’s approval process.

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) is an All India Development Financial Institution (DFI) and an apex Supervisory Body for overall supervision of Regional Rural Banks, State Cooperative Banks and District Central Cooperative Banks in India.

It is fully owned by Government of India and functions under the Department of Financial Services (DFS) under the Ministry of Finance.

Mr. Shaji K V is the current Chairman of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mumbai. Mr. Shaji K. V. has been serving as the Chairman of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) since December 2022.
