Lucknow: A shocking incident occurred in Saleh Nagar, where a female bank employee was held hostage and assaulted by three men. The police have registered a case against the accused and launched an investigation.
Incident Details
According to the victim, she works at a private bank and had gone to a customer’s house to collect a policy installment. The name of the victim and Bank has not been revealed due to privacy concerns. The customer, identified as Arvind, had initially asked her to visit in the afternoon, but later insisted she come at 9:30 PM.
When she reached his house at night, Arvind invited her inside and locked the door. His friend, Ram Sumiran, was already inside, while others stood outside. Soon after, both men began molesting her and tore her clothes. Hearing her cries for help, Arvind’s elder brother came out of another room, but instead of stopping them, he joined in. The three men then physically assaulted her and tried to silence her by pressing her mouth shut.
Victim’s Escape and Police Action
The victim’s colleague, who was waiting outside, heard the commotion and immediately called the police helpline (Dial 112). However, before the police could arrive, the accused fled, threatening the victim before leaving.
Inspector Chhatrapal Singh confirmed that an FIR has been registered, and the victim’s statement will be recorded. Further legal action will be taken based on the investigation. The police are searching for the accused. More details will be released soon.
