Federal Bank Manager Assaulted During Car Loan Recovery Visit in Greater Noida
A bank manager was allegedly assaulted and injured while visiting a borrower in Beel Akbarpur village near Dadri, Greater Noida. The manager had gone to inform the borrower about overdue car loan installments. He was also allegedly threatened with death during the incident.
Manager Visited Borrower’s House
According to police, Subrat Jaina is the branch manager of Federal Bank, located near Achheja village. A woman named Premvati, a resident of Beel Akbarpur village, had taken a car loan from the bank. As the loan installments had not been paid on time, the manager visited her house to inform the family about the pending dues.
Alleged Assault by Borrower’s Family
Police said that during the visit, Premvati’s son, Saurabh, along with a few other people, allegedly assaulted the bank manager. Fearing for his life, the manager managed to escape from the spot by running away. The accused also allegedly threatened to kill him.
Manager Received Medical Treatment
After the incident, the injured manager was taken to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi, where he received medical treatment for his injuries.
Police Register FIR
Dadri Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Neeraj Kumar Mishra said that an FIR was registered four days after the incident. Police have started an investigation and are searching for the accused. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
