A dispute occurred on Friday between an insurance agent and the bank manager at the Bank of Baroda branch in Jayas, Amethi. Around 3:45 PM, the insurance agent arrived at the bank with an account holder. He requested the account statement from bank manager Apurv Hindvi. During this interaction, a heated argument broke out between the manager and the insurance agent.
When Vir Singh, a home guard stationed at the bank for security, tried to separate them, the insurance agent grabbed the home guard’s collar. The home guard immediately informed the Kotwali police, and they arrived at the scene, taking the insurance agent into custody.
The bank manager stated that the entire incident was captured on the bank’s CCTV cameras, and he filed a complaint about the incident at the Kotwali. Kotwali in-charge Ravi Singh confirmed that an investigation into the matter is underway.
