Daylight Bank Robbery: Armed Miscreants Loot Cash from Central Bank Branch in Madhepura Bihar
On Thursday, a robbery took place in broad daylight at a Central Bank branch in Murho, under Bharrahi police station in Madhepura, Bihar. Around 12:30 PM, three criminals entered the bank and looted cash within a few minutes. After looting the bank, they easily escaped from the spot.

Bank Officials informed the police about the robbery. ASP Pravendra Bharti said that the police reached the spot quickly after getting information and started an investigation. He confirmed that about ₹1.30 lakh was looted and said that the criminals will be arrested soon.

According to the Branch Manager, Shiv Kumar, the three criminals were between 20 and 25 years old. During the incident, one criminal stayed outside the main gate, while the other two went inside the bank. One of them pushed the customers and the security guard and fired two shots in the air to create fear.

After that, one criminal went to the manager and pointed a gun at him. He asked the manager to open the vault. Out of fear, the manager opened it. The criminals took the cash from the vault and quickly left the bank. Their third partner, who was waiting outside, escaped with them.
It is reported that wiring work for CCTV cameras was going on at the time, which affected the security of the bank. The bank is located near the ancestral home of former Chief Minister B.P. Mandal. Despite this, the criminals carried out the robbery which shows the fearlessness of robbers.
An eyewitness said, “I came to the bank with my nephew to withdraw money. Suddenly, three masked men wearing black clothes entered the bank. They fired in the air and shouted for everyone to stay alert. They pushed me aside too.” Seeing the weapons, all the staff raised their hands. The criminals abused people, took the money, and ran away.
