According to sources, the victim, identified as Deepak Jena of the Mahatab Road area, lodged a complaint at Badambadi police station soon after the incident.

Jena alleged that despite multiple visits, the bank did not process his Aadhaar seeding request. When he approached the branch manager to ask why his request was being withheld, a heated argument broke out between them.

According to the complaint, the manager, supported by other staff and the security guard, allegedly attacked him inside the office.

Police sources stated that Jena was left with visible injuries and had to seek medical attention. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a case under relevant sections of the law.

Police have seized the CCTV footage and examined the visuals to verify Jena’s allegations. The branch officials are expected to be summoned for questioning as part of the probe.

Reports mentioned that other customers present inside the branch at the time witnessed the scuffle. Eyewitnesses said Jena was dragged to the floor and repeatedly hit.

Jena’s family members have demanded immediate and strict action against the bank officials involved. They alleged that instead of addressing a genuine customer grievance, the staff resorted to violence, which not only caused physical harm but also raised serious questions about accountability in private banks.

More details will be released soon.
