The Kotwali police in the old city of Sawai Madhopur have arrested councilor (पार्षद) Shahrukh Khan for causing chaos in Bank of Baroda.
According to reports, Shahrukh Khan is a history-sheeter at Kotwali police station. On January 31, bank manager Vishal filed a written complaint against him, alleging that the councilor had created chaos in the bank over a passbook printing issue.
On Thursday afternoon, Shahrukh Khan returned to the bank with a group of people and began misbehaving and hurling abuses at the staff. The bank manager immediately informed the police, prompting Kotwali police officers to reach the spot and take him into custody.
The police initially took the councilor to the city police station and attempted to pacify him, but he started arguing with the officers. As a result, the city police station alerted Kotwali police, and he was transferred there.
Notably, Shahrukh Khan already has five criminal cases registered against him. He has now been arrested on charges of disturbing public peace.
