Coal PSUs under the Ministry of Coal have announced a Performance Linked Reward (PLR) of ₹1,03,000 for non-executive workers.
This decision was taken in the 6th meeting of the standardization committee of the Joint Bipartite Committee for the Coal Industry on 25th September 2025.
The PLR will benefit about 2.1 lakh non-executive employees of Coal India Limited (CIL) and its subsidiaries, and about 38,000 non-executive employees of SCCL.
The reward will be given on a pro-rata basis, depending on attendance.
The financial impact of this PLR will be ₹2,153.82 crore for CIL and ₹380 crore for SCCL.
This reward recognizes the hard work and contribution of non-executive workers in CIL and SCCL.
It will also give timely support to workers and their families during the festive season.
The PLR shows the commitment of CIL and the Ministry of Coal towards worker welfare, motivation, and recognition.
By giving this reward, CIL aims to increase productivity, improve morale, and ensure job satisfaction among workers.
Non-executive workers play an important role in mining operations and contribute greatly to building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
