Central Bank will now provide Monthly Special Allowance upto Rs.20,000 to Branch Heads

The Central Bank of India has announced a new initiative to reward the hard work and leadership of its Branch Heads. In a circular issued by the Human Capital Management – Industrial Relations & Policy Department, the bank has introduced a Special Allowance for Branch Heads, which will come into effect from April 1, 2025. Earlier, Central Bank was in news for asking all Branch Heads to behave properly with Staff.

This decision was made during the Board of Directors’ meeting held on December 9, 2024. The move aims to recognize the pivotal role Branch Heads play in driving growth, ensuring operational excellence, and managing their teams effectively. The bank has emphasized its commitment to supporting and motivating these leaders for their significant contributions.

Allowance Details

The special allowance will be paid monthly and is categorized based on the performance of branches. Branches have been divided into two groups:

  1. Branches covering salary expenses from incremental income during the previous quarter (Group C).
  2. Other branches that do not meet the above criteria.

The allowance amounts are as follows:
