A CBI court in Delhi has sentenced four people to four years in prison along with a fine of ₹1 lakh each in a bank fraud case involving a loan from IDBI Bank.

The judgment was delivered on December 18, 2025. The convicted persons are Sanjay Chaturvedi, Amit Chaturvedi, Sumit Chaturvedi, and Pravin Juneja.

According to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the case was registered on February 9, 2009, after a preliminary inquiry found serious irregularities. The accused were charged with conspiring together to obtain a ₹15 crore rupee term loan from IDBI Bank by submitting false information and forged documents.

The CBI said the accused showed fake details about how the loan amount would be used and later diverted the funds for purposes other than those approved by the bank, causing financial loss to IDBI.
