A thief stole cash from Axis Bank ATM in Meerut. The thief sprayed the cameras at an Axis Bank ATM located on Ganganagar Divider Road in Meerut and stole the entire cash tray. The bank manager filed a complaint at the Ganganagar police station. A month later, a case has been registered in connection with the incident.

The incident occurred on the evening of March 14. A man entered the ATM cabin with his face covered with cloth. He took a spray bottle from his bag and covered the two cameras installed inside the ATM.

He then removed the ATM’s cash tray. The next morning, bank employees discovered the incident and immediately informed the local police.

According to bank manager Harshkant, the incident was reported to the Ganganagar police immediately. However, a case was registered on April 15th, a full month later.

The bank manager also said that the thief took out the cash tray, but his hand could not reach the cash box, due to which a major theft was averted.

The ATM is located at a very busy intersection in Ganganagar, which further increases the severity of the incident. Experts believe the thief likely knew that removing that part of the cash tray would allow him direct access to the cash, so he targeted that part. It seems that the thief had knowledge of the operations of ATM.

The Police is investigating the case and more details will be released soon.
