Baroda UP Bank: On Tuesday afternoon, a bank employee Mani Nath Tripathi, son of Chandra Shekhar Tripathi, a resident of Dumwalia Salem Pur, was handling bank work at his desk. As per the reports published in various news websites, he was allegedly speaking loudly to an elderly woman. Local resident Brijesh Mishra, who came to the branch for bank work, asked the field officer to refrain from speaking to the elderly woman in such a manner. This led to an argument between the two, and in a fit of rage, the employee drew his licensed pistol on Brijesh Mishra.
As per other reports, the customers were asked to withdraw amounts below 5,000 from Kiosk as there was huge rush in bank. It was done to streamline operations and provide better customer service. Some argument arose between the bank employee and the customer and employee had to take out his gun to protect himself.
Now an Arms Act case has been registered against the bank employee who pointed a pistol at a customer at the Baroda UP Bank located in the Sohanpur area of Bankata Police Station jurisdiction in Deoria district. The incident has sparked various discussions among bank employees and market traders.
