On the orders of the court, a report has been lodged against Canara Bank branch Bisawar Manager Priyanshu Singh and Field Officer Vishal Sharma in Sadabad Kotwali. The case has been filed for demanding bribe for sanctioning of loan.
Vipin Kumar, son of Bachchu Singh, resident of village Jatoi, informed in the report that under PMEGP, he had sought a loan of a total of Rs 5 lakh from Canara Bank branch, Bisawar Tehsil, Sadabad district, Hathras, for the Gilat industry.
He received the sanction letter for the loan on March 16, with which when he reached Canara Bank branch in Bisawar, the branch manager Priyanshu Singh and field officer Vishal Sharma present there asked him to give Rs 1.5 lakh and said that in return for this, he would get a rebate of Rs 1,75,000 on the loan.
He was told that the bribe has to be paid till the top. When he refused to pay the bribe, he was sent back. He visited the bank multiple times but the loan was not given.
On July 27, when he went to Canara Bank Bisawar, the branch manager Priyanshu Singh and field officer Vishal present there started abusing him. He was told that unless he paid Rs 1.5 lakh, his work will not be done. He reported the incident at Sadabad police station, the police took a complaint and assured to take action but no action was taken. Therefore now he has filed a report on the orders of the court.
