Branch Manager sent Obscene Audio Recording to Female Staff, Case filed with Police

Rampur, Uttar Pradesh: One more case of harassment of a female staff has come to light in a government bank. The shameful incident took place at the Rampur District Cooperative Bank. As per reports, the branch manager sent an obscene and offensive audio recording to a female cashier. He then attempted to tarnish her social reputation by making the audio viral.

The female staff has filed complaint with the police. Based on the complaint, the police have registered an FIR against two accused and launched an investigation.

The case is from the District Cooperative Bank branch located in Bijar Khata, Azimnagar police station area in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. The victim, a female cashier, alleged that on the night of October 19th, around 9:30 pm, she received several consecutive voice calls on her mobile phone. At first, she didn’t answer the calls. She realized the voice calls were from bank manager Vinod Kumar.

The manager told her that he had left a recording on her mobile phone that she needed to listen to. In the recording, the bank manager, Vinod Kumar, and the bank peon, Rajesh Kumar, were making obscene comments about her character. It is alleged that they also created a fake obscene audio recording in the victim’s name and made it viral, severely damaging her social reputation.

The woman, hurt by the defamation, filed a complaint with the Superintendent of Police, following which a case was registered against both accused at the Azimnagar police station. Police said the case has been registered under the IT Act and the investigation will be conducted thoroughly.

Meanwhile, branch manager Vinod Kumar has denied the allegations against him. Police have begun tracking the location of the two accused. The bank manager is reportedly missing from the branch and a search is underway.
