A serious situation arose in Indore’s Siyaganj area when the Punjab National Bank branch received a bomb threat through an email. In the email, it was mentioned that a blast would take place in the bank at 2 PM and that the explosion would be triggered remotely. The message warned that the entire bank would be destroyed.

As soon as the bank staff saw this email, they got worried and immediately informed the police control room. The police took the threat seriously and acted quickly. Police personnel from the Central Kotwali Police Station reached the bank to secure the area. Along with them, a bomb disposal squad also arrived to check the entire building carefully.

The bomb squad searched every corner of the bank for nearly an hour. They also checked nearby areas including the bank’s parking lot and nearby buildings to ensure safety. During this investigation, the normal banking work was disturbed, and both staff members and customers felt scared and tense.

After a thorough search, no bomb or explosive material was found. It turned out that the email threat was fake, but even then, the police handled the matter with full seriousness to avoid any risk. For safety reasons, a police team was deployed outside the bank.

This is not the first time such a threat has been received in Indore. Three months ago, two schools in the city also got bomb threats. In addition to that, Indore airport has received similar threats four times in the past. Thankfully, none of these threats turned out to be real, but such incidents cause panic and disrupt normal life.
