Near Ramna Maidan, Ambedkar Chowk, a busy area of Nagar police station in Bhojpur, miscreants surrounded a bank guard (X-Army) and stabbed him in the stomach.
The injured ex-serviceman is Shiv Kumar Singh, 42, son of Lachchu Ram Singh, resident of Pirauta village of Mufassil police station. He has been admitted to Sadar Hospital, Arrah. It is said that the DM office is only 50 meters away from where the incident took place.
Regarding the incident, Shiv Ram Singh (Ex-Army) told that I am a guard in Bank of Baroda located on KG Road of Nawada police station area. On Friday, two groups comprising coaching boys were fighting. In such a situation, some boys ran inside the bank. After that, the boys who were beating the boy who ran inside the bank, also wanted to enter the bank and beat him. He was chased away by the bank guards. During this, those boys also pushed the guard.
Today on Saturday, when I left home for the bank and reached near Ambedkar Chowk of Ramna Maidan, 5 to 6 unknown miscreants surrounded me. There was a fight and one of the miscreants stabbed him with a knife.
After committing the incident, the miscreants fled from the spot. After this the injured guard informed the local police station. After receiving information about the incident, the city police station reached the spot and started investigating the matter.
This incident, which happened in public, is raising questions on the working style of the police. Since there is DM office nearby, many policemen are deployed there. Even after that, criminals easily escape after committing such a major incident.
