In a recent case in Bijnor, the District and Sessions Judge, MP Singh, has rejected the bail plea of Kapil Kumar, a cashier at Sarv UP Prathama Gramin Bank’s Pavati branch. The case revolves around allegations of fraudulent money withdrawals using forged signatures.
Details of the Case
According to the prosecution, Mahendra Singh, a resident of Jalaudipur village under Haldaur police station, had filed a complaint at the same police station. In his report, Mahendra Singh claimed that a significant amount of money had been illegally withdrawn from the bank accounts of 26 customers at Sarv UP Prathama Gramin Bank’s Pavati branch. The withdrawals were allegedly carried out using fake signatures.
When the bank conducted an internal investigation, it discovered that someone had forged the signatures of the account holders to siphon off large sums of money. This fraudulent activity raised serious concerns about internal involvement.

During the investigation, the bank cashier, Kapil Kumar, was found to have played an active role in the fraudulent withdrawals. Due to his suspected involvement in the scam, his bail application was presented before the court. However, considering the gravity of the allegations and the evidence pointing to his involvement, the court decided to reject his request for bail.
