Bank Unions Postpone Protest and Demonstration on 8th May due to War Situation

The Bank Unions in India have postponed the protest and demonstrations on 8th May 2025 due to heightened tensions and war like situation in the country. ALL INDIA BANK EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION – AIBEA, ALL INDIA INSURANCE EMPLOYEES’ ASSOCIATION – AIIEA, ALL INDIA LIC EMPLOYEES’ FEDERATION – AILICEF, ALL INDIA BANK OFFICERS’ ASSOCIATION – AIBOA, BANK EMPLOYEES’ FEDERATION OF INDIA – BEFI, ALL INDIA NATIONAL LIFE INSURANCE EMPLOYEES’ FEDERATION – AINLIEF(INTUC) have released a joint circular and postpones the demonstrations.

In view of the mounting tension as a sequel to the Pahalgam attacks, our demonstration programme on the 8′ May, 2025 is deferred. Regarding our strike action on 20th May, 2025, further developments will be informed in consultation with the Central Trade Unions who are seized of the issue.
