In a shocking daylight robbery, unidentified criminals fired shots and stole Rs 42,000 from the CSP branch of South Bihar Gramin Bank in Gaya. The police have launched an intensive search for the perpetrators following the incident.

The robbery occurred at the Dakshin Bihar Gramin Bank CSP branch located at Dalbangla Chauraha in the Sherghati subdivision of Gaya district. According to CSP operator Sandeep Kumar, he had opened the branch on Thursday as usual. Shortly after, a customer inquired about withdrawing money from Union Bank. Kumar informed the customer that only withdrawals from South Bihar Gramin Bank accounts were possible.
A few minutes later, three unknown criminals arrived at the CSP branch, brandishing a pistol, and demanded the key to the cash counter. They extracted Rs 42,000 from the counter. As another customer approached the bank, the criminals fired shots at CSP operator Sandeep Kumar. The robbers fired a total of three rounds before fleeing the scene. The sound of gunfire drew a crowd of local residents.
Police Response
The Sherghati police swiftly arrived at the scene and commenced an investigation. Following the robbery, police began raiding various hideouts in an effort to apprehend the criminals. They are also reviewing CCTV footage from around the crime scene to identify the robbers.
