A tragic accident took place near Ramakrishna Math in Nirala Nagar on Monday afternoon, where a woman driver ran over a 25-year-old bank officer, Kashish Soni, with her car. Kashish, who worked as an assistant manager at the Aliganj branch of RBL Bank, succumbed to her injuries at the trauma center.
Incident Details
Kashish Soni, a resident of Indiranagar Sector B, was traveling on a scooty with her colleague Priya Sharma around 3 PM for bank-related work. Both women were wearing helmets as they approached IT Square when a speeding car hit them near Ramakrishna Math. The impact caused them to fall onto the road.
According to Kashish’s brother, Ajay, Priya managed to get up and pleaded with the woman driver to reverse the car. However, instead of stopping, the driver allegedly increased the speed and ran over Kashish.
Immediate Action and Investigation
Two bank employees, Mohit Mishra and another colleague who were passing by, caught the woman driver at the scene. Kashish was immediately rushed to the hospital and later referred to the trauma center, where she was declared dead. Mohit informed Ajay about the tragic incident.
The police have taken the accused woman driver into custody and seized her car. Inspector Akhilesh Kumar Mishra confirmed that an investigation is underway.
Family in Mourning
Kashish’s sudden demise has left her family in deep grief. She is survived by her father Satya Narayan, mother Krishna Devi, and three siblings. Meanwhile, her colleague Priya Sharma sustained injuries in the accident but is reported to be stable.
Ajay has already filed a complaint, and further legal proceedings are expected. The authorities are investigating whether the accused woman’s reckless driving was intentional or accidental.
