In Bareilly, the honey trap gang trapped the field officer of the bank and got the money transferred to their account. The gang member dressed in police uniform threatened him. The victim has lodged a report at Baradari police station. The police have detained three accused, including two girls, and started questioning them.
The field officer of a bank, resident of Veer Savarkar Nagar of Izzatnagar police station area, told in the report lodged at Baradari police station that Neha, resident of Nawada Shekhan, had come to his branch to take a loan. That’s why he knew him.
On Friday, he was going towards Rohilkhand University, when he met Neha on the way. Neha requested him to drop her to her friend Alisha’s house. He took Neha to the house of Alisha, resident of Noori Nagar.
Alisha invited him inside asking to have tea. As soon as the field officer went inside, two people came calling themselves policemen. Both the girls started hugging him. Did dirty things. In these, Babbu, wearing police uniform, threatened them by showing them a pistol. He said that a report will be filed against you and you will be sent to jail. When he pleaded, the accused asked for Rs 2 lakh in return for ending the case. Both the women beat him and abused him.
Threatened to send him to jail in rape case if he did not pay the money. These people scanned the code from the field officer’s mobile as advance and transferred Rs 25,000 to Alisha’s number. Threatened with dire consequences if complaint was made. On enquiry, it was found that these people extort money from people by luring them into honey trap.
Accused Babbu Ansari is very vicious. He is said to be a resident of Jogi near Nawada outpost. Reports have been registered against him in many police stations from Bareilly to Shahjahanpur. There are said to be other associates of the three people, whose names may come to light in the police action. There is also talk that some policemen were also in contact with the accused.
