The Bank of India (BOI) Zonal Office in Raipur has issued a notice regarding the proposed bank strike scheduled for September 28, 29 and 30, 2026.
The Zonal Office has informed all Probationary Officers (POs) that, as per the instructions received from the Head Office, Probationary Officers are not entitled to participate in the proposed strike.
The Bank has advised all Probationary Officers to take note of the instructions and remain available for duty during the strike period.
They have been asked to follow the duty instructions and duty arrangements communicated by the Bank.
This order is in contradiction to the earlier order of Bank of India issued in 2018. Bank of India had stated that the Bank had received information that the annual increment of officers on probation was being postponed because they had participated in a strike called by the Officers’ Associations.
Bank of India clarified that participation in a strike by officers on probation, when the strike is called by the Officers’ Associations, may not result in postponement of their annual increment. The Bank also clarified that such participation may not affect the date of their annual increment or their seniority in service.
