Bank of Baroda has paid PLI to MD & EDs as per the new PLI scheme introduced by DFS, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The new PLI scheme has started a cold war between the Government and Bank Unions. UFBU has announced protest against the new PLI scheme and threatened a flash strike. But the Bank of Baroda has credited the PLI to MD&EDs and PLI will soon be credited to other senior executives (Scale IV and above).

The PLI amount paid to the MD and Executive Directors is as follows: Shri Debadatta Chand, MD & CEO, received ₹16,15,680. Shri Lalit Tyagi, Executive Director, received ₹16,12,800. Shri Sanjay Vinayak Mudaliar, Executive Director, received ₹16,12,800, while Shri Lal Singh, Executive Director, received ₹16,12,800. Smt Beena Vaheed, Executive Director, received ₹10,40,516.40.

In another update, the board of Punjab National Bank (PNB) has approved payment of PLI for senior executives as per the new PLI scheme introduced by DFS, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The same was confirmed by the General Secretary of AIPNBOF – Shri Krishna Kumar. The PLI will soon be credited to all senior executives of the bank.
