Bank of Baroda Partners with GMVN to Offer Special Salary Accounts for Employees

State-owned Bank of Baroda has signed an agreement with Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) to provide a specially designed salary account package for the employees of GMVN. This new initiative is aimed at offering better banking benefits and financial convenience to GMVN staff.

What This Partnership Means

With this partnership, Bank of Baroda is showing its commitment to supporting government institutions and their employees with customized banking solutions. The salary package will likely include features like zero-balance accounts, special loan offers, easier access to credit, and possibly benefits like insurance or overdraft facilities – all designed to meet the financial needs of GMVN employees.

Who Signed the Agreement?

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed by key representatives from both organizations:

  • Shri Prateek Agnihotri, General Manager & Zonal Head, Bank of Baroda (Bareilly Zone)
  • Shri Bharat Chandra, General Manager, GMVN

The signing ceremony also saw the presence of senior officials:

  • Shri Vishal Mishra (IAS), Managing Director, GMVN
  • Shri Arvind Joshi, Deputy General Manager & Regional Head, Bank of Baroda (Dehradun Region)

Their presence reflects the importance of this collaboration for both institutions.

About Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN)

GMVN is a public sector undertaking (PSU) under the Government of Uttarakhand. It was established on March 31, 1976, with the goal of promoting tourism and development in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Today, GMVN operates with:

  • An authorised capital of Rs. 40 crore
  • A dedicated team of over 1,200 employees
  • A network of more than 90 guesthouses and tourist bungalows across the Garhwal region

GMVN plays a major role in tourism and infrastructure development in the state.
