Bank of Baroda Officers announce protest against Jodhpur Regional Manager for Misuse of Power

Akhil Bhartiya Bank of Baroda Officers Sanghthan (ABBOBOS) has announced protest (dharna) against misbehavior of Jodhpur Regional Manager of Bank of Baroda.

The Union will organize a peaceful protest (dharna) outside the Regional Office, Bank of Baroda, Jodhpur on the following dates and times:

• 01-08-2025 (Friday) – 05:00 PM to 7:00 PM
• 02-08-2025 (Saturday) – 05:00 PM to 7:00 PM

On 1st August 2025, only maximum five (5) office bearers or members of the Union shall participate in the protest. On 2nd August 2025, approximately 50 to 100 members of the Union from various branches from Rajasthan and other states will peacefully participate in the Dharna.

The union has said that:

• The protest will be entirely peaceful in nature,
• It will be held strictly outside working hours,
• No disruption to customer services or banking operations will occur,
• There shall be no obstruction to the public, nor any violation of law and order.

The primary reason behind this peaceful protest is the persistent misuse of administrative power by the Regional Manager, Jodhpur Shri Vivek Singhal. The union has said that the behavior of regional manager is not good and is threatening to the members. Moreover, arbitrary and biased transfer orders have been issued in violation of the Bank’s approved transfer policy, DFS guidelines, and CVC instructions. Union says that the members are being systematically harassed and unfairly targeted, which is deeply demoralising and in breach of principles of natural justice and fair administration.

Despite several prior communications and representations submitted to the concerned authorities, no remedial action has been taken, leaving the officers with no alternative but to express the grievances through a democratic and peaceful protest.
