In the wake of the tragic suicide of a Chief Manager in Pune, allegedly due to excessive work pressure, Bank of Baroda has issued a letter to all its employees highlighting the availability of its Employee Assistance Program (EAP). The advisory reiterates the bank’s commitment to employee mental health and well-being, offering professional counselling services to staff.

Bank of Baroda said that the Employee mental health is a vital component of organizational success, as it significantly impacts overall workplace environment. Promoting mental well-being improves retention, strengthens team collaboration and enhances performance across the board.

The Bank introduced the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in 2020. The Bank is dedicted to supporting employees and their families in navigating personal and professional challenges.

The Employee Assistance Program offers professional counselling services to employees and their immediate family members (spouse and children) free of charge for up to four sessions. These sessions address a broad range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, depression, family issues and more.
