On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, banks in Himachal Pradesh will remain closed in observance of Parshuram Jayanti, commemorating the birth of Lord Parshuram, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This festival holds significant cultural and religious importance in the state.
Parshuram Jayanti is celebrated on the Tritiya of Shukla Paksha in the month of Vaishakh according to the Hindu calendar. Devotees honor Lord Parshuram as a symbol of courage, righteousness, and the fight against injustice. The day is marked by fasting, special prayers, and rituals in temples across the region.
While banks in Himachal Pradesh will be closed, banking operations in other states will continue as usual. However, it’s advisable to check with local branches for any regional variations in holiday schedules.
Please note that although physical bank branches will be closed in Himachal Pradesh, online banking services, ATMs, and mobile banking apps will remain operational, allowing customers to perform essential transactions without interruption.
