Punjab & Sind Bank Manager shot dead by Guard for Denying Leave

A shocking news has been reported from Punjab & Sind Bank in Ghaziabad. A guard working in Bank has shot dead manager for denying leave.

Abhishek Sharma (34), manager of Punjab & Sind Bank in Ghaziabad, was shot dead by a guard on Monday. He was a resident of Patna, Bihar. The guard had been requesting Manager for leave for several days.

Guard Ravindra approached the manager around 1:45 PM on Monday afternoon. There, he had an argument with Abhishek Sharma regarding leave. The argument escalated and Ravindra shot him in the chest with a gun. Abhishek fell to the ground, bleeding profusely.

People in the bank were gripped by panic due to the firing. Meanwhile, the accused guard fled the scene with another accomplice. Bank staff took the manager to Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital in Delhi on a bike, but he died on the way.

A CCTV footage from the bank’s gate related to the incident has emerged, showing the guard with his accomplice. Minutes after he fled, people were seen carrying the bank manager away. The incident took place in the Balram Nagar area, under the Loni Border police station.

Bank Manager Abhishek Sharma was a resident of Lakhipur, Patna, Bihar. Since August 2025, he had been living on rent with his wife in Ghaziabad.

According to the police, guard Ravindra Hooda is a resident of Baghpat. On Monday morning, when the guard did not come on duty, the bank manager called him. He reprimanded him, asking the reason for not coming on duty. Abhishek also told him to come to the bank immediately.

Around 1:30 PM, guard Ravindra reached the bank with a colleague. He took the gun deposited in the bank. After this, he went directly to the bank manager and started arguing. Then he shot Abhishek.

The incident has sent shockwaves all across the country.
