Bank Female Manager commits suicide in Ludhiana

Ludhiana, Punjab: On Sunday, in Bhai Himmat Singh Nagar, Dugri, Sakshi, the manager of Axis Bank (Millerganj), committed suicide by hanging herself with a scarf on the birthday of her 5-year-old son Ekam.

According to the deceased’s sister, Nidhi, Sakshi’s husband was unemployed and used to beat and harass her after drinking alcohol.

Fed up with the harassment, Sakshi had filed a complaint with the Women’s Cell two days ago. Based on Nidhi’s complaint, Dugri police have started the process of registering a case against her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and sister-in-law.
